MJ's Slap Shots

MJ Hammett

MJ Hammett has been following high school hockey since 1996. A graduate of Beloit Memorial High School, he had the opportunity to broadcast his alma mater's lone State title in 1999 for WGEZ radio in Beloit.

Hammett joined Wisconsin Prep Hockey in 2004 and is very involved at all levels in hockey. Besides doing a weekly column for Wisconsin Prep Hockey, he's the voice of Janesville Jets hockey on the internet, the PA voice of Janesville Bluebird hockey, and has a son who plays mite hockey for Janesville.

During the season, look for his Slap Shots column weekly on Wisconsin Prep Hockey. Hammett will be covering short stories around the state, and will follow former high school players at the junior levels and higher. And don't be surprised if he's at YOUR game.
