The Baldwin-Woodville Blackhawks finished the regular season with a 5-5 tie at Black River Falls. The Blackhawks held the lead for most of the game before Black River Falls mounted a comeback. Black River Falls scored the equalizer fifth goal with 45 seconds remaining and the two teams could not score in the eight minute overtime.
The Blackhawks were lead by Nick Coltrain as he recorded his fifth hat trick of the year scoring 3 goals and 1 assist. The 5th hat trick is a Bldwin-Woodville record and Coltrain leads the Blackhawks with 46 points on the season. The Blackhawks begin the playoffs at Somerset, Tuesday 2-15 at 7:00.
Coltrain added another hat trick on the year as Baldwin-Woodville visited Black River Falls on Thursday and tied the Tigers 5-5. The Blackhawks got on the board early and had the lead almost the entire game but were unable to hold off the Tigers they scored with less than a minute to go in the game to get the tie and force overtime. Neither team was able to score in the overtime.
Nick Coltrain #12 for the Blachawks recorded a hat trick last Tuesday against sectional opponent Spooner in the 7-0 win. Coltrain also tallied an assist.
